Best Damn Tuna Burgers!

I recently made this recipe after opening up my cabinet and seeing way too many cans of albacore tuna. Craving something different, I whipped these bad boys up in under 15 minutes! This recipe will be sure to add variety and flavor. It is a staple to our home and is made frequently not just because it's healthy and makes a great dinner, but because it is DELICIOUS! ENJOY!!!!

1 can Bumblebee albacore tuna (24 oz)

Half large onion chopped

½ red bell pepper chopped

2 T light mayo

4 T egg whites

1 T mustard

Dash Garlic salt

2 T olive oil

2 slices of Dave’s Killer bread

2 T Chef Shamy Gourmet garlic butter

6 pieces of Sonoma Creamery Parmesan Crisps (I got mine at Costco)

⅓ cup oats plain

1 avocado sliced thinly

  • Saute chopped peppers and onions with pam spray cook for 5 mins until golden brown

  • While those are cooking pour tuna, mayo, mustard, olive oil and egg whites into large mixing bowl and whisk

  • Toast 2 pieces of DKB in toaster after it's golden brown add 1 T garlic butter on each piece of toast set aside one each per plate (recipe serves 2)

  • When onions are golden brown pour them into tuna mixture and whisk

  • Separately Blend ⅓ cup of oats plain and parmesan crisps until fine powder add into tuna mixture

  • Add dash of garlic salt

  • Scoop mixture into ⅓ cup pat down in measuring cup place in skillet after adding cooking spray (I cook 4 patties at a time for 3 mins. After flipping press burger down slightly with cooking ladle)

  • Cook 3 mins other side side

  • Place burger on one piece of toast

  • Add ½ avocado on each toast and ENJOY!
